Canal Museum Keystone Fund

Repayment of the Mortgage

The Canal Museum Keystone Fund was a public appeal for funds to pay off the mortgage on the Museum's building. The Trust purchased the Museum building in 1992, part of the finance was from a bank loan. The fund was closed at the end of August 2007, and the mortgage is about to be finally cleared.

Mission Accomplished

It has been decided to close the Canal Museum Keystone Fund at the end of August 2007 and the remaining amount owing to the bank will be repaid from our ordinary funds.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years, for your generosity.

The Canal Museum Trust is a registered charity, No. 277484

The Trust intends to establish a Museum Development Fund in place of the Canal Museum Keystone Fund. The existing bank account number will be used so that payments previously paid into the Canal Museum Keystone Fund can continue to be paid as before. This will be set up in September.

The Canal Museum Keystone Fund bank account will be renamed and re-used for the Development Fund.
