Our Ice Heritage Weekend is a celebration of the ice trade and Carlo Gatti's birthday (27th July), which, if he had lived this long would have been his 202nd birthday! Plans are provisional at the moment and this page will be updated as they develop. It is a programme of celebrations of Gatti's legacy and the ice trade in London.
Bring in a decorated birthday cake suitable for Carlo Gatti. There wil be fee of £1 per cake which also includes free entry to the museum for one person. There will be some competition rules - please check this page nearer the time. The cakes will be judged at 1100 on Saturday 27th and there will be a prize for the best one.
We'll be serving a traditional afternoon tea comprising a selection of sandwiches, cakes, and a scone with cream and jam, with tea or coffee. Please book for 1430, 1500, 1530, or 1600. Bookings will be available on this page. Price £15 per person, (£13 for seniors 60+, unwaged, students, children
There will be paper table-top family activities in the morning only (1030 - 1300)
We are delighted to welcome Players' Theatre to perform a music hall evening in the style that Gatti's music hall would have hosted in the 19th Century. Performance begins at 1930. Price £25 includes a soft drink and some biscuits and Swiss cheese. In addition a complimentary glass of Swiss sparkling wine is offered by the Embassy of Switzerland. Book now on this page.
